_pestilence It's the debut EP from the San Antonio band. Great for a badass house show. Let it all go for a night, grab a brew, and sing your heart out to these songs with your closest friends. Favorite track: Call It What You Want.

Miranda Miranda This was the first local band I encountered when I got into the scene within San Antonio and their songs spoke to me. Shook my soul. I recommend everyone listen to them, and let them grab onto your soul like they've done to mine.

Well I lost my baby to a bottle of pills. Michael Cera and Jonah Hill. Well if i died tonight, that'd be just fine. Michael Cera knows I'm alright.

I spend a lot of time above water. In fact, I spend most of my time in my room. But lately that's made me wonder.. Have I given up on trying to be someone new? Because I don't like who I see, each morning when I look in the mirror. In fact it's the only thing I fear, that I'm empty inside these bones. But I'm not scared of ghosts, I embrace them all as friends, because one day I'll be dead, and they will know my name. So I've been counting down my life, existing in hours, to see what I have left. If I see 25, i'll be surprised. And if I see 32, I'll take every letter I wrote to you and bury them alive. And if I see 44... well I haven't got that far.

about

"I Wish I Knew Why" Is the debut EP for San Antonio's indie-punk duo, Identity Crisis. This EP is composed of the very first tracks the band have ever written together. Through a collective agreement, they have decided to record and make these tracks known to the public.
Identity Crisis would like to express that this EP is "for the people." Meaning one thing, and one thing only:

"To those who have never heard of us, to those who have been to our shows, to those who have never considered making music, and to those who think it is impossible to create when the odds are against you, this EP is for you." - Identity Crisis

credits

released August 10, 2016

Identity Crisis is composed of Matthew San Martin (Guitar/Vocals) and Nathan Saldana (Drums/Vocals).
Collectively, they would like to thank and acknowledge Baldemar Esquivel for his dedication towards both the band, and the DIY spirit of the San Antonio music scene.

Baldemar Esquivel single handedly recorded, mixed, and mastered the band out of his bedroom studio in San Antonio, Texas.

Without him, there would be no EP.

His music can be heard under "Baldemar Esquivel" on Soundcloud or through other San Antonio groups such as "Tiki" or "Opaque Ghost."
